After extensive renovation that has kept it closed during the summer months, this popular and aptly named restaurant at Layana Resort & Spa is once again ready to delight diners with the best of Thai and World cuisine. Layana Resort & Spa is simply unique, located on 3-km long Pra Ae beach, ideal for those sunset strolls. Tides restaurant is located right at the beach for a chill-out feel. The sun was setting when we arrived; sunset is a real bonus at Layana. We sat at a table in the open-air terrace of the Sundowners Bar, besides the resort infinity pool, and ordered colorful and well presented cocktails. Music softened the ambience and mixed with the sound of the sea breaking on the shore while we sipped our drinks. Sheer indulgence; shame there was no remote control to fix the moment when a palette of yellows, blues and pinks mixed at the horizon...
